Panorama Bar Bazar: Fancy Finds

You know that feeling of a favorite piece finding you instead of you finding it? Something you have never been looking for, that you may not even have known existed. That could easily happen at Panorama Bar Bazar. Kind of a concept bar in the heart of Palma where you can enjoy a drink or a coffee and browse through the shelves of the adjoining store. And discover beautiful objects and artworks.

With its large windows Panorama Bar Bazar lives up to its name. From my favorite spot I can watch the passers-by stealing a glance at the display. And relish a vegan pulled pork llonguet or a piece of homemade cheese cake. Prepared by Guillem who actually is a screen printer and the one who designs the store’s t-shirts and sweaters.

Sara is in charge of the “bazar” and the selection of books, stationery, cosmetics and ceramics. An eclectic choice of fancy finds, presented on a platform for local artists. Un mundo maravilloso reads the title of a children’s book in the store. And indeed, Panorama Bar Bazar is a wonderful small world. A place to get inspired or to buy a gift for a loved-one.

Guillem and Sara both worked in publishing. They were looking for a place to display the paintings and books of friends, often independent self-publishers. Last year, they found the distinctive corner store that also had room for a bar. And decided to open Panorama Bar Bazar. From time to time they organize and host events like readings or exhibitions. Then, even the quiet side street gets pretty busy.
