Cycling is about the ride not the destination. But a great route also includes a nice place to take a break. As the name suggests, at Cycling Planet it’s all about bikes. The bar, rental and workshop is a popular meeting place for bike fans on Mallorca. And a neighborhood café for the locals in Alaró at the same time. 

Cycling and Coffee

Enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of homemade cake or a hearty tostada surrounded by bike apparel, signed jerseys, medals and cups, magazines and all kinds of accessories. Reclaimed materials from the island give an unmistakable touch to the design of the bar and the wooden deck outside. 

Onsite Workshop

In the workshop Cycling Planet offers a full range of services. From maintenance to fixing imminent problems, from upgrades to fittings. You can even rent road bikes or join a guided tour, if you are on vacation or want to get to know the fascination of cycling. The staff definitely knows its way around the cycling world.

World Champion Barista

The bar is actually one of the few places where you may see a world champion doing mechanics or making coffee. David Muntaner ended his professional cycling career and choose to open Cycling Planet. Aficionados will recognize the rainbow colors of the world champion jerseys on the coffee machine, the saucers and on the walls.

Gateway to the Mountains

Located at the foot of the Tramuntana, Alaró is a popular destination or starting point for mountain lovers. Hikers favor the climb up to the castle with its spectacular vista of the island. And cyclists enjoy a stop-over at the beautiful town that is easy to reach from any direction. The most rewarding way, though, is the descent from Orient on the street through the signature rocks forming the gateway between mountains and plains.
