The longer the winter and the pandemic lasted, the more we longed for change and color. Just in time for the start of spring, Flamingos in Palma reopened its doors. And customers love browsing the fancy vintage clothes. Anticipating the first parties hopefully sometime this summer, or simply dressing up for the season.
All second-hand clothes and fashion items at Flamingos are imports from the U.S. And with its edgy decoration, the store itself is an eye-catcher. Even if you’ve only come to browse, it’s hard to resist the temptation to buy at least a little something. Especially since most pieces are charged by weight. So a small addition to the closet is not only affordable but also a fun bargain. A colorful tie-dye shirt from a discotheque in Ecuador is now mine, for just 2 euros and 5 cents.
The vintage fashion at Flamingos range from the 70s to the 90s. Andoni, one of the two new owners of the store next to Plaer Natural, is pleased with the diversity of his customers. People who remember their youth with slight amusement, when they first wore this style of clothing. And young people who simply love retro outfits. From swimsuits to glitter shoes, from fringe bags to jewelry, there is something for anyone and everyone. Like the girl who’s checking her reflection in one of the many mirrors at Flamingos and starts dancing, spontaneously.
