The 10th anniversary of Plaer Natural feels like the birthday of a family member. I have spent countless days on their terrace or inside the restaurant. For the great food and the unique atmosphere of Plaça Quartera, sure. But maybe even more so because of the people who run this place. And warm the hearts of their guests like a bowl of hot soup on a winter’s day.
Mónica and Ignasi opened the doors of their new restaurant exactly ten years ago. Their vegetarian kitchen at Plaer Natural is still one of the best on Mallorca. The couple managed to create some culinary classics and add new elements over time. Like vegan courses, gluten free meals and more and more eco ingredients. Recently they introduced small dishes para picar in the afternoon and a new dinner menu.
For me lunch at Plaer Natural is still the highlight. Starting with a light salad refined by their signature dressing, followed by tortitas and a brownie or a blondie with a café solo. Served by Flor who always knows about the latest specials and advises you to make the right choice. Although you hardly can go wrong. I have never had a single course that I wouldn’t have ordered again. And two of them we even cook ourselves at home from time to time. We keep calling them Ensalada Mónica and Ensalada Ignasi.
