Creating Characters: Pixar in Palma

Pixar in Palma: Remember when Woody and Buzz Lightyear find themselves marooned in a gas station? Or when Dory and Marlin meet the three sharks on their search for Nemo? The current exhibition at Caixa Forum brings back some wonderful childhood memories. And „Pixar. Creating Characters“ is great fun for the whole family. Because it’s the kids who turn out to be the real experts when it comes to the protagonists of the more recent Pixar movies.

Pixar Animation Studios are popular for the fantastic stories and lovable animated figures. Few, however, know how elaborate the process is to design a character and bring it to life. The exhibition in Palma not only presents Pixar’s main characters. You can have a look at drafted sketches and designs. Digital drawings and movie clips tell about how they became the personalities as we got to know them.

There’s even a studio where you can design your own character. „Pixar. Construyendo Personajes“ runs through January 9, 2022. And attracts a lot of people that haven’t been to the marvelous Modernisme building before. If you are one of the first time visitors, you will be surprised by the beauty of the former Gran Hotel.
