What do a Michelin star restaurant, the Spanish Embassy in Helsinki and the latest Burger Joint in Sa Gerreria have in common? The answer is: It’s their head chef, Alejandro Javaloyas. He and Marta met in Berlin where they were both working in a Spanish Restaurant. Together with a couple of friends they recently opened up Raimundo Burgers and Fries in Palma. And they hit a nerve right away: you either need luck or a reservation to get a table or a place at the bar.
While you’re sipping a drink you can watch Alejandro and his team prepare the burgers and fries in the open kitchen. The patties are freshly made from ground beef – and that makes all the difference. Chose between five different types, from classic American to Mexican, Italian or Mallorqui style, carefully selected variants of our faved comfort food.
The burgers also come vegetarian and/or gluten free, and there’s even a Vegana. Or go for a basket of nachos con pico de gallo, creme fraiche and guacamole. In any case, don’t miss Raimundo’s fries: they are sprinkled with rosemary, the wild, spicy scent of it staying with you for the rest of the meal. And there is brownie, carrot and cheese cake for desert, if you still got some space for it. The bar offers local beers and wines, what else could I want?
The beautiful crew and the restaurant’s personal touch create a diner-like atmosphere that makes everybody feel at ease. Whether you have to feed a whole family or go out with friends – Raimundo is one more place that makes Sa Gerreria such a wonderful neighborhood.
