Nearly twenty years ago, he and his partner Gülcin opened Mallorca Puzzles, turning a shared passion into one of the city’s most unusual specialty stores. One principle has never changed: every puzzle has been tested by the two of them. “We don’t have any puzzles in the shop that we don’t personally like,” says Gülcin. Every recommendation, therefore, comes from genuine experience.

There are handcrafted wooden puzzles, clever metal disentanglement games, colorful plastic brain teasers, mathematical logic puzzles, Rubik’s Cubes, and even Rubik’s Pyramids. At first glance, it resembles Tangram, yet its objective is entirely different. Sven recalls families spending an entire long weekend trying to solve it. Without success. Then, not long ago, a young woman picked it up and solved it within minutes. Puzzles, it turns out, reward fresh perspectives rather than assumptions.
