Dive Into Nit de l’Art: Galeria Fermay

Floop, the title of the exhibition lets you dive into art. Actually, into the Nit de l’Art. For the first time Galeria Fermay participates in Palma’s prestigious gallery night. And the works by Carla Arocha and Stéphane Schraenen are points of attraction and exclamation marks at the same time.

A sound turned into a word, Floop indeed refers to the cartoony concept of portable holes. An idea that lead the artists to elaborate on the idea of escape. Colorful yet minimalist acrylic paintings and mirrored glass sculptures captivate the viewers. And you could hardly imagine a better place for the Arocha-Schraenen exhibition than Galeria Fermay.

The latest newcomer to the lively gallery scene in Palma opened its doors only recently. Antoni Ferrer created a space of light. Although the place resembles a piece of art itself it let’s the artwork shine. And is meant to be a place for artists, collectors, professionals and art lovers. Like the whole Nit de l’Art.

This weekend, galleries and museums in Palma and on the island will host the popular event for the 26th time. Locals and visitors from all over the world come to discover, exchange news and rejoice in the familiar atmosphere. To meet friends and make new ones in the narrow streets of the old town, and now also in the Blanquerna neighborhood.
