Made in Mallorca: Welcome Back

Craftsmanship and artisan production have always had a strong tradition on Mallorca. But in recent years the label Made in Mallorca has become more and more successful, even beyond the island. Representing a light, almost industrial chic that resembles midcentury style rather than rural aesthetics.

For this reason a group of local architects has curated an exhibition of furnishings and contemporary accessories. With a clear commitment to sustainability. From June 11 to 13 Es Baluard opens its doors again for friends of Mallorca’s most exciting designs. Palma’s Museum for Contemporary Art hosts Made in Mallorca for the second time this year.

The first appearance of Made in Mallorca was at the London Design Fair where the group presented designers from the Balearic Islands with the new claim. The show in Palma comprises 16 exquisite brands. Furniture and lamps from La Pecera, Studio Jaia and 2Monos, ceramics from Paparkone and Huguet, traditional fabrics from Tèxtil Bujosa and Teixits Vicens, and much more.

All of it contrived, designed and manufactured on Mallorca. Natural materials and bright colors make it the essence of the Balearics. After three months of shutdown the reopening of the show now is also a comeback for the Mediterranean lifestyle.
